This book details a trip from Tbisili to British India across Persia (now Iran) in the late 19th century. The choosen route is somewhat mysterious. I was disappointed that the author didn't go the entire length of Persia. He instead makes a beeline for Bushehr and takes a steamer to Gwadar. From there he goes inland to Quetta. Along the way you get the reflections of a 19th century British citizen. I found the entire story an interesting look at southwest asia 120 years ago.Product details
